摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the bundling of tubes passing through a stack of fins with respect to a heat exchanger core comprising substantially flat tubes having hyperelliptic cross-section and to secure the tube mechanically to the fins prior to metallurgical joint of the tube to the fins. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing a heat exchanger core 56 comprising a stack of fins 60 having holes with wing for passing tubes 30, upper fins are supported by the wing part 90 on the periphery of the hole of lower fins. Forward end part 66 of the tube is corrugated and the tubes are passed through each set of holes in the fins through the forward end part of the tube and then bundled. Subsequently, the tubes are faced against the holes with wing in the fins for passing the corrugated forward end part which is then enlarged thus securing the tubes mechanically at least to a part of fins in the stack.
