PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect the concentration of developer and to improve the agitation performance of the supplied toner by prolonging the time for the detection of the concentration of the developer and the time for toner replenishment. SOLUTION: In this device, the concentration of the developer t inside a developer container 11 is detected by an inductance sensor 19 and the concentration of the developer that is detected is stored into a storage device 20. Since the toner is supplied by allowing a control device 22 to operate a toner replenishment mechanism 18 based on concentration information stored to the storage device 20, the concentration detection of the developer t and the toner replenishment can be carried out independently, so that a time for the detection of the concentration of the developer t and the toner replenishment can be prolonged, even when the time for rotation of a developing sleeve 12 is made a minimum, thus the concentration the developer t is accurately detected and the agitation performance of the supplied toner is improved. |
