OPTICAL WAVEGUIDE COMPONENT AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve difficulty of mass production and problems on performance such as increase in optical loss and fluctuation in isolation because of that wavelength separation is performed by inserting a wavelength filter in a groove crossing an optical waveguide in an optical module using an optical waveguide. SOLUTION: A first optical member 14 in which a grooved optical waveguide pattern 12 is formed by molding is stuck to a base plate 16 provided with a fiber fixing groove 17; and, after a wavelength filer 110 is formed directly on the end face of the optical waveguide of the first member 14 by means of vapor deposition or the like, a second optical member 15 is stuck to the base plate 16.
