PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat type display device which makes a picture easier to see than in the conventional device and simplifies a structure itself without deteriorating a damage resistive characteristic. SOLUTION: In a flat type display equipment, terminal portions of a transparent front board and a back board which are spaced away from each other with a fixed clearance therebetewen are respectively sealed, an image display part is sealed inside of a vacuum enclosure equipment which is ventilated for forming a body of a flat vacuum box, wherein a flat electron emission part and a fluorescent plane which lights when receiving an electron-ray from the electron emission part are faced with each other in the image display part. The fluorescent plane is formed on an inner surface of the transparent front board of the vacuum enclosure equipment, or the electron emission part is formed on an inner surface of the back board.
