PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable manufacturing method for sufficiently preventing the change of the dielectric constant of aligned fixed portions during aligning and fixing wires, improving the formability of the aligned fixed portions and greatly enhancing the productivity. SOLUTION: A cable manufacturing method for manufacturing a flat cable 1 consisting of a plurality of wires having insulating coating members aligned and fixed at least in parts, comprises applying a coating of mixed resin which contains thermoplastic resin and ultraviolet curing resin and has a softening point lower than that of the insulating coating member, in the condition that it is softened at a temperature lower than the softening point of the insulating coating member, around arrayed wires 3 to be temporarily fixed as it remain arrayed, radiating ultraviolet ray to the mixed resin to polymerize and bridge the ultraviolet curing resin and cure the mixed resin, whereby a fixed member 2 is formed to fix the wires as they remain arrayed.
