PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel for a magnetic tape, capable of providing a good magnetic tape winding appearance. SOLUTION: This magnetic tape reel is constructed in such a manner that the outer surface of a clamping member for holding a leader tape with a recessed part formed in a hub for winding a magnetic tape, and the peripheral surface of the hub located in a part opposite the recessed part by 180 deg. when seen from a plane, are tapered surfaces inclined in the mutually different direction of an axial direction.
