PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make thin a driving device by using a novel idea for shaping a cartridge so as to form a space for disposing a pressing means to press a cartridge inserted into the driving device. SOLUTION: In an FD cartridge 4 with a built-in flexible magnetic disk 7, both side parts 4l and 4r in directions (left and right) orthogonal to the direction (forward and backward) of inserting the FD cartridge into a disk driving device 1 for recording/reproducing the flexible magnetic disk are formed thinner than the center part 4c thereof.
