PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system switching method for an N+M waiting type redundant system for improving the reliability of this system by actualizing the latent failure of a preliminary module regardless of periodic switching or special test. SOLUTION: This N+M switching type redundant system is provided with N operating modules and M preliminary modules and a control means for capturing the non-use sub-module of the operating module in response to an outside request, and for making the non-use sub-module to execute processing corresponding to the outside request. When any system switching factor is generated in any operating module, the operating module is switched to the preliminary module, and any waiting preliminary module is switched to the operating system. When any sub-module of the operating modules is released, the operating module to which the released sub-module is belonging is decided as the candidate of the preliminary module, and when all the sub-modules of the candidate of the preliminary module are released, the candidate of the preliminary module is switched to the preliminary module, and the preliminary module in the waiting state is switched to the operating module. |
