PURPOSE: A method is provided to prevent time and current waste by simplifying the process of measuring the distance between the camera and the object. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a first step(S100-S300) of measuring the distance between a camera and an object when a release stage 1 switch is on; a second step(S400) of determining an automatic focusing zone obtained by the measuring performed in the first step; a third step(S510) of increasing by 1 the occurrence frequency corresponding to the automatic focusing zone determined in the second step; a fourth step(S610) of judging whether the increased occurrence frequency is higher than 5/2 of the set measuring operation frequency, and repeating the first to fourth steps if the occurrence frequency is lower than 5/2; and a fifth step(S700,S800) of setting an automatic focusing zone in accordance with the measuring result and stopping measuring operation, if the occurrence frequency is higher than 5/2; and a sixth step(S900) of performing automatic focusing operation. |
