<p>Railway control and management makes use of a quality level calculated from visual inspection of railway objects. This is effected using the following formula to determine the quality level:- q (quality level) = L - [Sigma(S*F)/Sigma F]*L. For each object, the damage index [S1] is calculated from the formula S1 = S*F. The total damage level (W) can be calculated with the formula: W = S SigmaS1/SigmaF0*L. From this damage level, the quality level (Q) can be calculated with the formula Q = L - W. Symbols used in the formulae have the following meanings:- S = during inspection, the determined damage ratio factor per object F = weighing factor per object L = constant (preferably the maximum weighing factor) Q = quality level.</p> |
