PURPOSE: An electronic expansion valve opening protective apparatus is provided to improve operation efficiency of air conditioner by maintaining the degree of opening of the electronic expansion valve constant. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerant pipe(2) with an electronic expansion valve(1) functioning as a flow control device, has a collection mesh(3) mounted in front and rear of the interior of the refrigerant pipe so as to filter foreign substances flowing along the electronic expansion valve. The portion where the refrigerant pipe equipped with the collection mesh is arranged has a diameter larger than two times or more than that of the other portion where the refrigerant pipe is not equipped with the collection mesh. Since an open/shut-off unit of the electronic expansion valve for adjusting refrigerant flow is prevented from being attached with foreign substances of indoor/outdoor air due to the collection mesh, degree of opening of the valve is maintained optimum.
