PURPOSE: A vehicle side mirror is provided to fold or unfold the side mirror automatically according to starting state of a vehicle without adjusting reflection angle, and to prevent the unfolded side mirror from being damaged. CONSTITUTION: A side mirror is composed of a permanent magnet(30) in a turning neck section(22) of a mirror frame(12); first and second electromagnets(34,32) acting on the permanent magnet in a fixed neck section(24); a current direction switch unit(40) controlling direction of current applied to first and second electromagnets; a control unit(46) electrically connected to the current direction switch unit; and an ignition key switch(44) electrically connected with the control unit. The mirror frame is unfolded and folded selectively with alternating polarities of first and second electromagnets by electrically connecting first and second electromagnets with the current direction switch unit.
