PROCESS FOR TREATMENT OF TAP WATER AND NONDEGRADABLE SEWAGE/WASTEWATER USING MEMBRANE PHOTOOXIDATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: Provided is a process for the treatment of tap water and nondegradable sewage/wastewater using a membrane photooxidation system, which applies membrane separation to recovery of a photocatalyst suspended in a photochemical reaction tank, thereby reducing maintenance cost by reusing recovered photocatalyst. CONSTITUTION: The treatment process is characterized by: i) pretreating by a coagulation process(2) for organic matter and heavy metal contained in inflow raw water(1) and a precipitation process(3); ii) suspending a photocatalyst in a photochemical reaction tank(6) for enlarging the surface area, thereby increasing a photochemical reaction rate; iii) separating a photocatalyst from a membrane separation device(7) and recovering the photocatalyst through a photocatalyst recovery line(8); and iv) treating nondegradable sewage/wastewater through an activated carbon tower(9) for the final adsorption of photooxidized dissolved matter.
