SLUDGE DISCHARGE EQUIPMENT OF SETTLING TANK

PURPOSE: A sludge discharge equipment of a settling tank is provided, which can discharge sludge settled at the basin of the settling tank by moving a suction pipe connected to a connecting pipe of flexible material along the base line of the bottom, so that its position can be changed easily by moving an endless wire rope connected to it. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises the followings: (i) an endless wire rope (22), a part of which is installed along the base line of a settling tank; (ii) a suction pipe (10) that is equipped to a part of the endless wire rope (22) and has many suction holes; (iii) a driving device (26) for moving the suction pipe (10) along the base line of the settling tank; (iv) a connecting pipe (12) that is made of flexible material and is connected to the suction pipe (10); and (v) a valve equipment that is connected to the end of the connecting pipe and controls discharge of sludge taken from the suction pipe (10).
