PURPOSE: A cylinder structure for rotary compressor is provided to achieve an improved efficiency of the compressor and reduce noise by forming a suction adding hole at a suction chamber of the cylinder. CONSTITUTION: A cylinder structure comprises a cylinder(50) having an inlet port(50a) and an outlet port(50b); a roller(51) contacting the inner side of a cylinder chamber(C) of the cylinder; a vane(52) interposed between the inlet port and the outlet port of the cylinder and which contacts the roller while moving forward and backward, so as to section the cylinder chamber into a suction chamber(Cs) and a compression chamber(Cc); a spring(53) supplying an elastic force at the rear of the vane; a lower bearing coupled to the lower portion of the cylinder, and an upper bearing(60) coupled to the upper portion of the cylinder and which has a suction adding hole(60b) having a volume of 5% to 40% of the volume of the suction chamber of the cylinder.
