PURPOSE: A circuit for protecting a port of using FPGA is provided to prevent a breakdown of expensive FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array) by installing parts for protection on the input and output sides in case that the specific signal is sent and received through the FPGA and to improve the stability of the system. CONSTITUTION: A circuit for protecting a port of using FPGA includes a FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array)(10), an input port(20), a buffer IC(21), an output port(30), a resistance portion(31) for protection, a control port(40) and a transistor(Q). The FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array)(10) is arranged logically. The input port(20) inputs the specific signal from the outside by using the FPGA(10). The buffer IC(21) is installed between the FPGA(10) and the input port(20) and is connected with the outer driving current and voltage if the higher outer driving current and voltage than those of the FPGA(10) are asked. The output port(30) outputs the specific signal to the outside by using the FPGA(10). The resistance portion(31) for protection is installed between the FPGA(10) and the output port(30) and protects the inner circuit from the overcurrent of the system. The control port(40) outputs the specific control signal to the outside from the FPGA(10). The transistor(Q) is installed between the FPGA(10) and the control port(40) and controls the overcurrent by opening the control port(40) in carrying out the function of the outer control.
