PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an information display device to easily and properly display not only information of news, weather forecast, etc., obtained in teletext broadcasting, but also information of a CM and quize, etc., in desirable timing only at a desirable time. SOLUTION: An information receiving display device 1 installed in a place where people stay awhile such as the lobby of a hotel or airport or the waiting room of a hospital and has a signal reception part and an information display part and also has a video display function. The signal reception part receives both character information of a CM sent by a character information transmission device 2 arranged in a character information transmission control center and desirable character information (character news, weather forecast, etc.), superimposed on the public radio wave 200 from a television broadcasting station 3 and selectively displays either one of the data at an information display part. The character information is scrolled and displayed on an illuminated display panel and viewers are able to view the information of the character news, weather forecast, etc., and the information of the news. |
