PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calculator capable of performing calculation by voice input as well. SOLUTION: This calculator is constituted of a built-in microphone for headset, a voice recognizing means to discriminate numerals, arithmetic signs, etc., by analyzing voice inputted from the microphone, a voice code part to output voice codes corresponding to the numerals, the signs, etc., an arithmetic part to which output recognized by the voice recognizing part is supplied when the output coincides with the voice code, a currency storage part to store currency rate, a storage part to store an arithmetic result and a display part for numerals, etc. The same operation as key operation is performed by input of the voice. All from on/off of power to a kind of currency to be a standard when the arithmetic processing is performed, a kind of currency to be converted and exchange rate at the time are inputted by voice. A normal arithmetic processing with the calculator is performed by recognizing this voice input, converting the input into specified codes corresponding to the numerals, the signs and the currencies and transmitting it to the arithmetic part. Since arithmetic operation is executed based on the currency specified at the time and its result is displayed on a display part, prices in the local currency, etc., are easily and exactly learned without performing key input. |
