PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for processing image with which a bit map can be continuously generated even when a line width is narrower than the width of one scan line of an output device. SOLUTION: In plotting processing of vector data having a narrow line width, the line width is changed into the value of an application coordinate system corresponding to the width of one dot on an output device coordinate system and afterwards, an outline vector is generated and converted to a display list. When the line width of a linear vector composing an object is thick, vector generating processing is performed in a Thick line vector processing part and in the case of thin line width, the outline vector is generated after changing the line width in a Thin line vector generating part. Thus, a point, which does not cross a Y-half scan line in horizontal scan direction, is canceled and continuous lines can be plotted. |
