PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold small the capacity needed for a refrigerator in standby mode and to keep the rise in temperature due to AC loss to a minimum at the time of the input and output of the energy accumulated. SOLUTION: This superconducting energy storage apparatus has a superconducting coil 1. The superconducting coil 1 is stored in a coil container 2. In the coil container 2, a heat exchanger 2 is provided. The superconducting coil 1 and heat exchanger 3 are immersed in liquid helium. Furthermore, a helium cylinder which stores helium gas is provided. The superconducting coil 1 is supplied with the helium gas from the hedlium cylinder 4. The superconducting coil 1 is cooled with both the liquid helium outside the coil and the helium fills the tube of the superconductor. |
