<p>PURPOSE: A method for preventing slopping during converter blowing is provided to stabilize quality of molten steel, increase an actual tapping yield and decrease a generation amount of converter slag by controlling an oxygen blowing flow rate and a lance height. CONSTITUTION: The method for preventing slopping during converter blowing comprises the steps of setting a standard for estimating the slopping condition based on flame movement and a degree of slag coming out into a furnace mouth; and instantly decreasing an oxygen blowing flow rate as much as 15 to 30% from the original standard of an oxygen blowing flow rate of the preset blowing pattern, instantly lowering a lance height as low as 150 to 300 mm from the original standard of lance height of the preset blowing pattern, or controlling an oxygen blowing flow rate together with a lance height when the slopping condition is estimated by the preset standard in a method for converter blowing which is done by coating partial slag used in the previous operation on wall of a converter, charging iron scrap and hot metal in the converter, and blowing in oxygen through a lance.</p> |
