<p>PURPOSE: A method for designating an interference area is provided to precisely set a movable area of a movable part of a control target of a numerical control machine and a limit thereof by reflecting an error according to a tool size when designating an interference area of a movable part of a control target of a numerical control machine. CONSTITUTION: A location information of a standard interference area with respect to a movable part of a numerical control machine is stored as a numerical data. A tool size table which corresponds tool lengths and diameters of all tools to tool numbers is produced and stored. A current tool number is detected(ST1) and it is judged whether the current tool number is identical with a standard tool number(ST2). When the current tool number is different from the standard tool number, a length and a diameter of a tool corresponding to the current tool number are read from the tool size table(ST4). An area correcting value is calculated by comparing the read tool length and diameter with a standard tool length and diameter(ST5). When the current tool number is larger and smaller than the standard tool number, the area correcting value is added and subtracted to and from the location information of a standard interference area, respectively(ST8,ST7).</p> |
