The procedure, in which the clutch pressure plate (1) is engaged with the annular skirt (6) of a hollow cover (2), consists of moving the pressure plate axially into the cover so that a rounded projection (13) on its edge deflects a flexible retaining lug (11) on the skirt. Once the projection is past the lug the latter springs back to engage with a stop on the underside of the projection, providing the pressure plate with limited axial movement inside the cover. |
