PURPOSE: A microwave oven is provided to improve cooling efficiency for a PCB(Printed Circuit Board) in a control panel and other components by preparing a panel housing with suction ports and a duct member with an inlet port and a discharge port. CONSTITUTION: In a wall mounted microwave oven, a cooking chamber(10) is formed by a body casing(2) while component chambers(15a,15b) are formed at the outside of the cooking chamber by an outer casing(1) surrounding the body casing. A blower fan(21) is installed in the component chamber. Additionally, a panel housing(26) for receiving components including a PCB for a control panel and having suction ports(29) is placed in the front of the body casing. A duct member(50) having an inlet port(51) for sucking the air blown from the blower fan and a discharge port(52) facing the suction ports of the panel housing is included. Upon operating the microwave oven through the control panel, the external air flows into the component chambers via a grille member(30) with driving of the blower fan. The air cools the components in the component chambers, and a portion of the air flows in through the inlet port. The inlet air discharges through the discharge port and then flows into the panel housing via the suction port. After cooling the PCB and the components, the air is discharged via outlet ports(27). According to effective cooling of the PCB and the components, the life span of the components is lengthened. Further, mis-operation due to overheating is avoided.
