PURPOSE: A system and method for displaying position information of a mobile is provided to show a position and state of a freight from starting position to the destination to a user by offering a moving position of a vehicle and a moving path confirming service to a plurality of users. CONSTITUTION: A vehicle master connects to a web application service server(13) through a web browser of a personal computer(11) having a communication environment connected to the internet(12). The web application service server(13) transmits a user's inquiry to a processor of a mapping and image conversion server(17) if an inquiry related to a map and position information out of the user's inquiry exists. A position information collection server(15) stores position data of a freight of vehicle to a database at several seconds intervals through position information transmitting vehicle terminal(16) having a GPS receiver and a wireless network. The mapping and image conversion server(17) performs a vehicle GPS position information mapping abstracted from a vector map abstracted from a user's inquiry receiving and analyzing and a map processing server(14) and the position information collection server(15). In addition, the mapping and image conversion server(17) converts the result into an image file and transmits the result to the user on a web.
