DISPLAY DEVICE AND MEASURING INSTRUMENT USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring instrument which is capable of making multicolor display, simple in structure and low in cost. SOLUTION: The front glass in the front of the measuring instrument 10 is formed of UV cut glass. Display parts 17 and 18 which generate the light of the wavelength region on a longer wavelength side than the blue light from LEDs 23 and 24 of the same kind from the blue light are formed on a dial 14. The display part 17 consists of color conversion layers 17A and 17B and generate green light by absorbing the blue light and the display part 18 consists of color conversion layers 18A and 18B and generate red light by absorbing the blue light. The multicolor display is therefore made possible and since the LEDs 23 and 24 of the same kind are used, the low-cost measuring instrument 10 can be embodied.
