PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the silver halide photographic sensitive material using a silver halide emulsion high in sensitivity and superior in resistance to deterioration of photographic performances due to pressure to be applied. SOLUTION: The silver halide photographic sensitive material is provided on a support with at least one photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer and this emulsion layer contains silver halide grains each having a projected grain diameter of >=2.0μm occupying >=50% of the projection areas of the total silver halide grains, and this photosensitive material is characterized by the fact that >=80% of the silver halide grains having projected grain diameter of >=2.0μm are not subjected to stress dislocation at the time of being applied to a specified pressure.
