PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber wavelength dispersion distribution measurement device directly measuring a delay time distribution in the longitudinal direction of an optical fiber. SOLUTION: This optical fiber wavelength dispersion distribution measurement device is constructed of a light source with a known wavelength, an optical branching filter branching output light from the light source in two directions, an optical switch converting one output light from the optical branching filter into pulse light, an optical switch switching the output light from the optical switch for inputting one output light from one end of a measured object, a wavelength shifter varying the wavelength of the other output light by a predetermined amount, an optical switch converting the output light from the wavelength shifter to a pulse light, an optical multiplexer multiplexing the output light from the optical switch and the other output light from it, an optical filter outputting the light at a predetermined wavelength alone among the inputted light, a light directional coupler inputting the light outputted from the optical multiplexer through the other end of the measured object and inputting the light outputted from the other end of the measured object to the optical filter, a delay time measurement unit measuring a propagation delay time of the output light from the optical filter, and a control unit controlling the wavelength of the light source, the wavelength variable amount of the wavelength shifter and the transmission wavelength in the optical switch and the optical filter.
