The suspension has a support (11) for a wheel and a side lever (17) whose inner end is coupled to the vehicle frame (25) and whose outer end is coupled to the support at a point off-set from the wheel axis. A connecting part (19) is provided between the support and the lower arm (11) of the suspension so that the support is movable relative to the lower arm (15) in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. The connector has two rigid parts (19a,19b) and a rubber sleeve (19c) which is elastically deformable. One of the two rigid parts is cylindrical and is coupled to the support whilst the other part is cylindrical set inside and coupled to the lower arm.
