PURPOSE: A performance test apparatus for two-stage centrifugal compressor is provided to accurately measure the performance and general characteristics of the compressor while allowing the compression ratio to be easily changed. CONSTITUTION: A performance test apparatus comprises a suction temperature controller(15) disposed at a refrigerant line(10) arranged between a two-stage centrifugal compressor(11) and a condenser(120, and which controls the temperature of the refrigerant being sucked into a first-stage compression section(11a) of the two-stage centrifugal compressor; first and second gas-liquid separators(13,14) connected through refrigerant shunt lines(10a,10b) in such a manner that the refrigerant is separated into gas and liquid through two stages in that the refrigerant separated as a gas in the first stage is introduced into the liquid refrigerant in the second stage, and the refrigerant separated as a liquid in the first stage is introduced into the gas refrigerant in the second stage; a first expansion valve(B1) arranged at the refrigerant line between the outlet side of the condenser and the inlet side of the first gas-liquid separator(13); and second and third expansion valves(B2,B3) arranged at refrigerant shunt lines between the gas and liquid outlet side of the first gas-liquid separator and the inlet side of the second gas-liquid separator(14).
