PURPOSE: A method is provided to reduce time taken to install an air conditioner and improve durability of air conditioner. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a step(S1) of cutting off pipeline by operating an air supply switch mounted at an outdoor unit controller, and opening a liquid feed valve and a gas feed valve; a step(S2) of opening the pipeline by cutting off the power supply to the liquid pipe solenoid valve and opening the pipeline by operating a gas pipe solenoid valve, and supplying refrigerant until the pressure of the gas feed pipe reaches the pressure set in the micro computer of the indoor unit; a step(S3-S5) of measuring the pressure of the gas feed pipe, and shutting off the liquid pipe solenoid valve when the pressure is higher than the pressure set in the micro computer; a step(S6) of measuring time by the micro computer; a step(S7-S9) of shutting off the liquid pipe solenoid valve and the gas pipe solenoid valve at the same time if the pressure is lower than the pressure set in the micro computer; a step(S10,S11) of ending the air supply system when a leakage checking light flickers; a step(S12) of correcting abnormality and returning to the step(S1); a step(S13) of operating the air supply solenoid valve so as to open the pipeline if the pressure is equal to or higher than the pressure set in the micro computer; a step(S14-S16) of cutting off power supply to the air supply solenoid valve so as to close the pipeline if the pressure is lower than the pressure set in the micro computer; and a step(S17,S18) of lighting the air supply indicating lamp for a second, and cutting off power supply to the gas pipe solenoid valve and the liquid pipe solenoid valve so as to open valves.
