PURPOSE: A timing belt tensioner device enables a worker to operate a lever and a plate to get a certain tension value with a small force and varies tension by a certain gap so as to adjust tension more accurately. CONSTITUTION: A tensioner device comprises a tensioner pulley(14), a tensioner bracket(16) and a tension adjusting device(24). The tensioner pulley(14) contacts a timing belt(12) and gives tension to the timing belt(12). The tensioner bracket(16) fixes the tensioner pulley(14) to the front surface of an engine with a tensioner fixing bolt(18). The tension adjusting device(24) contacts one end of the tensioner bracket(16) and moves the tensioner bracket(16) by a certain gap. To adjust the tension of the timing belt(12), the tensioner fixing bolt(18) is released, the plate(40) is pushed/pulled, a tension adjusting bar(30) is lowered/raised by a certain distance, the tensioner bracket(16) is adjusted to the left/right side and the tensioner fixing bolt(18) is tightened again, if the tension is larger/smaller than a fixed tension value, respectively.
