PURPOSE: A method for automatically dialing in a PBX is provided to reduce the annoyance that an intercom subscriber dials the telephone number recorded in a message manually and a telephone operator should record and deliver the telephone number of a caller. CONSTITUTION: If an inner user is absent, a telephone operator records the business of a caller with voice and inputs "in-absence call message recording" function code to the intercom subscriber(ST11). After recording the business, the telephone operator stores the telephone number information of the caller with the corresponding voice message and gives an in-absence call alarm to the intercom user(ST12-ST14). If the intercom user tries to confirm in-absence call, a message confirm code is received, the voice message is outputted, and the telephone number of the caller is displayed in a LCD of a telephone(ST15-ST17). If the intercom subscriber inputs "recorded telephone number dial" function code, a PBX dials to the corresponding telephone number automatically.
