PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the safety and reliability of a signal processor by increasing the difficulty in analyzing the operation of an internal CPU while delaying the operation of the CPU through a random signal generating means in arbitrary timing and at very-short-time level and then preventing the signal processor from taking too long a time for processing. SOLUTION: The signal processor 100 is composed roughly of a CPU 1 comprising an integrated circuit such as a semiconductor executing a group of instructions for a password discriminating process, etc., a memory 2 which stores secret data on a password, etc., and a random signal generating circuit 4 which generates a wait signal 3 for stopping the operation of the CPU 1 at random intervals. Specially, the CPU 1 has a wait signal input terminal 1a to which the wait signal 3 is inputted and has a function of stopping the operation for a very short time, one to several clocks, in response to the input of the wait time 3. |
