PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of changing over a display form which has a stereoscopic feel and transparent feel and a display form which can be stably read without being affected by a background to the different display forms. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal display device has a transmission type liquid crystal display 3, a reflection plate 6 which is constituted movably to a back position where the reflection plate is visible through the transmission type liquid crystal display 3 and a position where the reflection plate is concealed, an operation part 7 which is disposed at an apparatus so as to operate the movement of this reflection plate and interlocking means 11 and 13 which move the reflection plate 6 in parallel to the transmission type liquid crystal display 3 by the operation of the optical part 7. The device described above is so constituted that the reflection plate 6 is moved to the back position where the reflection plate is visible through the liquid crystal display 3 and that the light entering from the front of the transmission type liquid crystal display 3 is reflected by the reflection plate 6.
