PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording medium excellent in durability and a yield. SOLUTION: A magnetic recording medium having a magnetic layer having <=0.3μm thickness on one surface of a non-magnetic substrate through a non- magnetic layer having >=0.5μm thickness and including at least carbon black and a back coating layer on the other surface of the substrate, comprises radiation curing type binders adopted as the binders used for the non-magnetic layer, the magnetic layer and the back coating layer.
