PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stepping motor which can be assembled easily and converts a rotary motion of a rotor to a linear motion and then outputs it. SOLUTION: A stepping motor 6 comprises a housing cover 10, an output shaft 7, and a snap pin 21. The housing cover 10 is fixed to a housing 9 so as to house a stator 12 and a magnet rotor 15 together with the housing 9. The output shaft 7 passes through the housing cover 10 and is installed so that it cannot be rotated with respect to the housing cover 10 but can be moved in the direction of the rotary axis of the magnet rotor 15. The output shaft 7 is screwed with the magnet rotor 15 and is linearly moved in the direction of the rotary axis of the magnet rotor based on the rotation of the magnet rotor 15. The snap pin 21 is installed in the housing cover 10. By engaging with the output shaft 7 in the axial direction, the snap pin 21 limits the movement of the output shaft 7 in the direction in which it is projecting within a prescribed range. The snap pin 21 can be disposed after the housing 9, the stator 12, the rotor 15, the housing cover 10, and the output shaft 7 are all assembled.
