PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a setting information rewriting device for exactly and easily changing registry information in a system in which the interruption of a power source is required. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a non-volatile storage device 42 for storing rewriting information including the registry information, and the rewriting information is read from the storage device 42, and stored in a region different from a region in which the registry information should be generated by an operating system in a storage region of an RAM 34 before the registry information is generated by the operating system. Then, the registry information of the RAM 34 is rewritten into the registry information included in the rewriting information by using the rewriting information of the RAM 34 before the registry information is referred to by the operating system.
