PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copying device which enables a user to easily perform a work of screwing a moving optical system to an enclosure while forming a screw groove by a tap tight screw. SOLUTION: When a moving optical system 3 will be fixed to a side wall of the device enclosure in order to transport the copying device, a stepping motor 16 is electrically locked to be disabled from rotating after the moving optical system 3 is moved to a prescribed position adjacent to the side wall 10 by the stepping motor 16, and then the moving optical system 3 is kept immobile so that it cannot be moved though being pushed, and a tap tight screw 8 is screwed into a tapped hole 7 having no screw grooves from the outside of the side wall 10 to fix the moving optical system while forming a screw groove.
