PURPOSE: A four-way air blast type air conditioner is provided to quickly cool the side and rear area of the air conditioner while optimizing space utilization and energy saving. CONSTITUTION: A heat exchanger coil(evaporator) is mounted in the lower portion of an air conditioner body(10), and an air blast chamber(12) for eliminating the discomfort caused by a high velocity blast is installed in front of the coil. An air distributor bag(13) having a blower(14) coupled to the bag is installed within the coil so as to allow the air blast toward the coil to be uniformly distributed. A duct(15) is mounted onto the air conditioner body so as to introduce fresh air from outdoor area. The air blast chamber permits the air to be distributed in all direction from the lower portion of the air conditioner body, to thereby optimize an air blast velocity. |
