PROTOCOL STRUCTURE OF RADIO MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANAGING ACCESS BY USING THEREOF

PURPOSE: A protocol structure of a radio mobile communication system and a method for managing access by using thereof are provided to prevent lowering of the function of a system in a terminal access by locating only the MAC part concerned with sending the response of the access confirmation on a base station and to improve the dependence of the packet data service. CONSTITUTION: A protocol structure of a radio mobile communication system and a method for managing access by using thereof include a base station controlling portion(40), a PLDCF MUX and QOS part(20) of CCCH and a selection and distribution unit(60). The protocol structure is divided into three sub-layers of the MAC function horizontally and the parts appropriate to ACH and LAC of PCH and MAC are located on the base station controlling portion(40). The PLDCF MUX and QOS part(20) of CCCH for the burst data is also located on the base station controlling portion(40). MAC about the dedicate channel is located on the selection and distribution unit(60) of the controlling station for the soft hand over management of channels and the management of RLP(61).
