PURPOSE: An automatic polishing device is provided to improve the quality of a rolled product by uniformly polishing, to prevent an accident of a worker and to improve the efficiency by polishing during an operation of a roll. CONSTITUTION: An automatic polishing device of a roll contains polishing pads (2) to polish the roll by contacting with the surface of the roll; a driving shaft (8) reciprocated through the lengthwise direction of the roll; torsion arms (4) to elastically combine the polishing pads with the driving shaft; an elastic body (26) to fix the polishing pads and to supply the elasticity into the polishing pads by installing between the polishing pads and the torsion arms; and a torsion control bracket (6) to control the elastic pressure of each torsion arm by installing between the torsion arms and the driving shaft. A polishing is performed automatically during operating the roll. The uniform rolling is possible and the life of the roll is lengthened by giving the uniform pressure into the polishing pads and the torsion arms and equalizing the contact pressure of the polishing pads.
