SYSTEM FOR PRIOR STABILIZATION AND DYNAMIC COMPACTION OF LANDFILL

PURPOSE: A system for the pre-stabilization and dynamic compaction of a landfill is provided to stabilize the inside of the landfill previously by diluting and exhausting various gases, and to prevent the settlement by improving the stiffness of the soil of the landfill. CONSTITUTION: A method to stabilize a landfill comprises three steps. In the first step, air is supplied into the landfill at a pressure of 0.1-0.2 kg/cm¬2 through an air injection-well(1) to accelerate the decomposition of organic matters. In the second step, the gases containing the ingredients of bad smells are extracted from the landfill through a gas discharging-well(2). In the third step, some or all of discharged gas are filtered, and air is added through an air re-injection well(3). The added air is mixed with the filtered air, and diluted. The diluted air is injected into the landfill. To compact the landfill, a compaction weight is lifted from the ground after stabilization. And the compaction weight falls freely. By using the instant impact energy, the poor ground and the soil having voids are compacted.
