PURPOSE: An apparatus for transmitting an asynchronous power line is provided to embody a simple transceiver, improve the speed of transmission, and eliminate the difficulty of synchronization. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for transmitting an asynchronous power line(140) consists of a transmitting circuit part and a receiving circuit part. The transmitting circuit part comprises a transmission pulse amplifying and coupling part(130) and a shock pulse circuit(135) to transmit a transmission data pulse from a personal computer via the power line to another personal computer by converting the transmission data pulse into a shock pulse signal of 0.6V level. The receiving circuit part comprises a received signal coupling part(150) for receiving the shock pulse signal from the power line, an amplifying and level-clipping part(160) for amplifying and clipping a specific level signal among the received signal, a noise eliminating and pulse separation detecting part(170), and a signal regenerating part(180). The noise eliminating and pulse separation detecting part removes a needless signal among the clipped signal, and separates a positive peak shock pulse with a negative peak shock pulse. At the moment the positive peak shock pulse is input a high signal is output, and at the moment the negative peak shock pulse is input a low signal is output, thereby data pulse signal having a specific time width is regenerated.
