摘要 PURPOSE: An apparatus for driving a plasma display panel is provided to allow the plasma display panel to be driven with a low driving voltage by providing a high voltage through a discharging switch to panel electrodes of the plasma display panel. CONSTITUTION: The device includes the plurality of panel electrodes. Discharges are generated between the plurality of panel electrodes to display an image on the plasma display panel. The panel includes a source electrode to which a voltage is applied, and a trigger electrode which is faced with the source electrode. When a discharge is developed between the source electrode and the trigger electrode, the voltage applied to the source electrode is supplied for the panel electrodes. The source and trigger electrodes are formed to be faced with an upper substrate and a lower substrate of the panel, respectively. The panel is driven by a driving apparatus(70) including a driving circuit and a trigger driving part. The driving circuit generates a selecting signal having a lower voltage. The trigger driven part provides driven voltages to each of panel electrodes(50) in response to the selecting signal.
