The fastening consists of a neoprene band on the lower end of the wader leg, the outer face of the band (1) being joined at the bottom to one side of a sliding clasp fastener (2, 3) or self-adhesive strip which allows the boot to be detached from the wader. The neoprene band measures, for example, 2 mm thick by 360 mm long and 150 mm wide, while the fastener is 250 mm long by 9 mm wide.
