A textile material is made from woven textured yarn of 500 - 700 dtex in a satin weave, coated by an air scraper with an even layer of plastisol. After the plastisol has set, the material has a surface weight of not more than 450 g/m<2>. The coating is set after application by a heat treatment lasting about 8 minutes and in two phases - a pre-gelling phase at 120 deg C, and a gelling phase at 160 deg C.
