A cyclone chamber base (1) for an air filtration system dust and chip extractor, situated beneath an annular chamber with an intake for the contaminated air and filter sleeves, has a tangential outlet (7) at the bottom (6) and is shaped to retain or direct the dust and chip into the air current high-speed zone circulating in the base close to the bottom. The lower part of the base has a truncated conical outer wall (11) which reduces its cross-section between its upper end (12) and bottom (6), and an optional central conical or cylindrical static structure (16) to prevent dust from settling in the centre of the bottom.
