PURPOSE: A kimchi refrigerator is provided to prevent noise caused by an impact generated during closing operation of the refrigerator door while preventing injury to human body. CONSTITUTION: A kimchi refrigerator comprises a main body cabinet(1) having a door opening(8) opened upwardly, a door(10) mounted to be rotatable onto the main body cabinet and which opens/closes the door opening, and a buffering unit interposed between the main body cabinet and the door so as to buffer the impact caused by the contact between the door and the main body cabinet during closing operation of the refrigerator door. The buffering unit includes an accommodation groove(21) formed at the main body cabinet, a compression spring(23) accommodated into the accommodation groove, and a contact member(25) one end of which is supported by one of the compression spring and the door corresponding to the accommodation groove, in such a manner that the contact member enters/exits with elasticity into/from the accommodation groove.
