PURPOSE: A system for servicing UPT(Universal Personal Telecommunications) in a mobile communication system is provided to enable the mobile terminal of another person to performs originating and incoming operations like a user's terminal in case that the UPT number of the user is registered in the mobile terminal of another person. CONSTITUTION: A radio network controller(6) controls a base station(4) that communicates with a mobile terminal(2). An intelligent peripheral(12) performs the guide broadcast function related to an intelligent network. A service control point(14) registers the mobile terminal(2) as a terminal for a UPT service if a password equals to the UPT number provided for requesting the registration of the UPT service by the mobile terminal(2). A mobile switching center(8) provides the guide broadcast related to a registration procedure to a subscriber when the registration thereof is requested via the controller(6), interworking with the intelligent peripheral(12). The mobile switching center(8) supplies the UPT number and password from the mobile terminal(2) to the service control point(14) in order to request the registration of the UPT service.
